Question: How many artists does it take to change a lightbulb? Answer: Two. One to change the bulb, and one to say "I could do that!" When I learned about the original daily painting blogger, Duane Keiser, I thought, "I could do that!" My thanks to Duane and the other leaders in the Painting-A-Day movement.

A "gesture sketch"?
Ah, perfectionism... :) I think it's good though. And I like it. Hm, it makes me think of Miami.
Thanks for your comments, Kirstin. A "gesture sketch" is just another name for a "quick sketch".
Ah, I see. :) Thanks.
To elaborate further, a gesture sketch is a quick sketch that captures the gesture, pose, attitude, movement, or flow of the subject. The idea is that, even if a the subject is resting quietly, she still has a gesture that gives a feeling of life. The terms are sometimes used to mean the same thing.
These are great works! Thanks for publishing them. Hope your Christmas was merry and your new year will be grand! :-)
